(Jan. 28, 2019) -- Hockinson students showed their musical chops at the Clark College Jazz Festival with group and individual wins last weekend.
The HHS Jazz Band took first place in the AA division -- its ninth win in 11 years! Special congratulations to Briell King, Erik Hawkins and Tanner Linton, who received outstanding high school musician awards.
Kudos also to the HMS Jazz Band, which received superior and excellent ratings, and for Blake Bruning, Adam Haunreiter and Andrew Meier, who received outstanding middle school musician awards.
We're proud of HHS band director Corey McEnry, HMS band director Jennifer Ritenburgh and all of our musicians -- and thankful to our community for its support, which makes activities like Jazz Band possible!
