New Statewide COVID Order To Take Effect 11/17

The Governor and our state’s public health experts continue to emphasize the importance of school reopening and prioritize local decision-making in doing so. As schools continue to plan and prepare for potential school reopening, schools must continue to:

Follow the mandatory DOH K–12 guidance and L&I workplace safety guidance,
Work in partnership with your local health jurisdiction, and
Use DOH’s school reopening decision tree as a key resource in determining whether to resume in-person instruction.

The proclamation does include language prohibiting school and non-school related sporting activities. Please see the set of restrictions for the complete guidance. Expect additional updates from WIAA about what these restrictions will mean to sports and activities.
