Hockinson High School was proud to host the annual Nate Anderson Memorial Youth Soccer Camp on July 7–9. This year's camp welcomed 47 young campers and was made possible by the dedication of 26 HHS soccer players who volunteered each day as coaches and mentors.
The camp honors the memory of Nate Anderson, a former HHS soccer player who enlisted in the U.S. Army after graduation. While home in Vancouver on leave, Nate tragically passed away at the age of 19. This camp was created to celebrate Nate's life and the values he embodied—service, leadership, kindness, and community.
Thank you to all of our campers, high school volunteers, coaches, and families for continuing this meaningful tradition and creating a fun, positive, and welcoming experience for the next generation of Hawks.
