The Hawks first competition of the Boys Golf Season took place on Wednesday, Sept. 2 at the Rapids Jamboree, a two-man team event at Heron Lakes Golf Course. HHS entered three teams, with Tabor Huffman and Browen Simpson placing 7th out of 36 teams.

On Thursday, the boys team played their first league match against Ridgefield at Fairway Village Golf Course. Here's how the Hawks shot on nine holes:

While they came up short (170-145), first-year Head Coach Creig Henry said that there were bright spots in the boys performances. Henry also noted that boys learned a lot of lessons from the loss and were motivated to refocus and improve as they prepare for three consecutive matches next week against RA Long (9/8), Columbia Gorge Invitational (9/9), and Mark Morris (9/10).
