Not every high school musician can say they have performed at a Big Ten football game at the University of Washington (UW), but members of the Hockinson High School Marching Band can.
The UW Huskies topped Utah State with a 16-14 win at the September 12 football game, but the field belonged to the bands at halftime. For the 73rd Annual Husky Band Day, HHS musicians joined the collegiate marching band and nearly 3,000 high school band members from across the region to fill Husky Stadium with music. This trip to Seattle is an annual tradition for the HHS Band. It must be a favorite, because students happily began their day at 3:30 a.m. and did not wrap up until 18 hours later!
Congratulations to the HHS Marching Band on representing Hockinson on one of the biggest stages in the Pacific Northwest!
